Please phone the 24 hour repeat prescription line on 01461 206500 to order repeat prescriptions or hand in a request form (the tear off side sheet of your last prescription) to reception. Prescriptions will be available for collection within 2 working days. Alternatively you can arrange for your regular chemist to collect your prescription for you.
You can also order repeat prescriptions on-line, see home page for details.
Test results can be obtained by telephone after 12pm. Test results which have not been commented on by the doctor cannot be given out by the receptionist. Any query regarding your test results will be referred to the doctor.
We would suggest that patients do phone to check up on results as we get so many results that we are unable to personally contact patients to inform of normal results.
The practice is a training practice and is involved in the training of GP Specialty Trainees, Foundation Year 2 doctors and medical students.
GP Specialty Trainees are fully qualified doctors who have already spent several years in hospital medicine. They work in the practice for a year to complete their training as GPs.
Foundation Year 2 doctors are also fully qualified doctors who have spent a year in hospital. They work in the practice for 4 months as part of their higher training.
You may be asked for your permission for your consultation to be video-taped as part of their training and final exam. We would hope that you would be able to cooperate with them but if you do not wish to be video-taped your request will be respected and it will not change your treatment in any way.
Medical and nursing students also attend the practice from time to time. We hope you will co-operate with us and help them to learn about General Practice, however, you will be informed of their presence in advance and if you do not wish them to be present in your consultation your wishes will be respected. This will not affect your treatment in any way.
