We would suggest that patients do check up on results as we get so many results that we are unable to personally contact patients to inform of normal results.
The practice is a training practice and is involved in the training of GP Specialty Trainees, Foundation Year 2 doctors and medical students.
GP Specialty Trainees are fully qualified doctors who have already spent several years in hospital medicine. They work in the practice for a year to complete their training as GPs.
Foundation Year 2 doctors are also fully qualified doctors who have spent a year in hospital. They work in the practice for 4 months as part of their higher training.
You may be asked for your permission for your consultation to be video-taped as part of their training and final exam. We would hope that you would be able to cooperate with them but if you do not
wish to be video-taped your request will be respected and it will not change your treatment in any way.
Medical and nursing students also attend the practice from time to time. We hope you will co-operate with us and help them to learn about General Practice, however, you will be informed of their
presence in advance and if you do not wish them to be present in your consultation your wishes will be respected. This will not affect your treatment in any way.
